Readers of The Luxe Chronicles will recall that in my January 5th post entitled "Things Worth Looking Forward To In 2008", I included in my list more licensing deals from Karl Lagerfeld. After all, when a man as generous with his talent as Karl Lagerfeld gives the world sunglasses, handbags, apparel, luggage, diet books, French cakes and pastries for Lenotre, we the masses will be forgiven for asking impatiently "what will he license next?". Thankfully, we didn't have to wait long as Mr. Lagerfeld has already kindly obliged.
The designer has generously collaborated with Pixi to create a miniature lead figurine of himself in his trademark regalia: Dior Homme fitted dress jacket, starched dress shirt, dark skinny Diesel jeans, dark glasses and many, many rings. The doll is being issued in a limited run of 1,000 figures and is on sale exclusively at Colette in Paris for 200 Euros ($300 USD) (Source). The Luxe Chronicles thinks that your Karl Lagerfeld figurine will look tres chic on your mantle. Alternatively, you can buy multiple Karl Lagerfeld figurines and invite your friends over for hours of fun. I predict this may be the end of Barbie's reign.
Sincerely,
The Luxe Chronicles
