London is celebrating Gay Pride today with champagne, fancy dress and pink Union Jacks! To think that as recently as 1967 when the Sexual Offences Act came into force in England and Wales decriminalizing homosexual acts between two men over 21 years of age and ‘in private’, it was illegal to live as homosexuals, even in private. The 1967 law wasn't much, but it was a start. (Source). Happy Gay Pride celebrations!
