Have you ever become fixated on something completely and utterly senseless? Something that you won't really ever be able to wear out? Something that isn't even consistent with your personal style? Something that couldn't remotely be justified as an 'investment piece'? I've had this fixation with a certain pair of over-the-knee Givenchy haute couture boots worn by Madonna on the cover of the March 2008 Vanity Fair and I can't seem to shake it. I love the shape of the heel, the luster of the leather and the fact that they lace up along the front. Clearly, these boots were made for catwalks, photo shoots and world tours which try as I might, just aren't 'my thing'. I thought I had put the fixation behind me but with all the chatter recently about Madonna's wardrobe for her upcoming 'Sticky and Sweet' tour, I've been sucked in again. Darn, if only I had followed my heart and become a pop singer!
