I love fashion and I love art and when the two can be successfully combined, it puts me over the moon. It's not always a foregone conclusion that a collaboration will work out however. I can't say for instance that I love the plastic shoes designed by Pritzker Prize winning architect Zaha Hadid. On the other hand, French luxury brand Hermes has just introduced a collection of limited-edition silk scarves that look absolutely stunning. For this particular foray into art-inspired fashion, Hermes has chosen to reproduce six abstract works (originally oil paintings) by Bauhaus master Josef Albers from his 1965 series entitled 'Homage to the Square'. Each scarf is printed using Hermes' time honored technique in an edition of 200. Each scarf is hand-numbered and comes with an accompanying booklet about the artist and his work. Sincerely,
