The Red Thread: Samsung Sponsored Valentino Exhibit Planned For New York And London
Mark your calendars fellow followers of fashion! 'The Red Thread', the Samsung-sponsored exhibit dedicated to Valentino Garavani, will first be unveiled in New York City during New York fashion week (September 4-10, 2008) and will then travel to London for London Fashion Week (September 14-19, 2008). The exhibit, the first in Samsung's "Imagination Icon" series, is timed to coincide with the release of Valentino: The Last Emperor, Matt Tyrnauer's documentary film. Tyrnauer, a special correspondent for Vanity Fair, spent two years shooting more than 250 hours of footage of the designer and his entourage for the project. The film, shot roughly between 2005 and 2007, culminates with the preparations for Valentino's elaborate farewell festivities that marked his retirement from the fashion industry. For further details regarding the exhibit, a timeline of Valentino's illustrious career, biographical details as well as snippets from the documentary film, please consult the The Red Thread website. Enjoy!
Sincerely,
The Luxe Chronicles

How lucky for NY and London to first see the masters and those masterpieces behind scene off stage! Must be something for a 2-years documentary!

Hi Kaya - The Red Thread website contains details regarding the venue's address, exhibition dates & times and a map but no mention of tickets or price of admission. If I find out anything, I will post.
