The past few weeks could not have been easy for Ivana Omazic. As though the usual pressures of preparing a collection for unveiling to press and buyers are not enough, Ms. Omazic put together the Celine Spring/Summer 2009 collection in the midst of rumors and the eventual public announcement that she would be replaced by Phoebe Philo, a darling of the fashion press. To Ms. Omazic's credit, she kept her head down and turned out a beautiful collection for her last outing under the 'Celine' banner. The collection is classy and professional, like Ms. Omazic herself. Bravo!
