If a picture is indeed worth a thousand words, then the above image sums up my current state of mind perfectly. It would seem that I've somehow managed to anger the Gods of technology. First, my trusty Blackberry died suddenly and unexpectedly. No warning signs, no parting words, no suicide note. The screen froze and it was gone. Just like that. After a brief but acute bout of panic, I became philosophical about the whole thing. My Blackberry was after all almost two years old - in technology years, that would amount to a long and very full life. I chose to take this as a sign that it was time to move on. I had been toying with the idea of moving to the iPhone for a while now. So I did.
I should start by saying that the iPhone is an absolutely beautiful little contraption. It is sleek, fun to use and packed with all those little details that sets Apple products apart from the rest. It is, in design terms, the Birkin bag of mobile technology. This said, I would like it so much more if I could actually get the bloody thing to work consistently. First it was working just fine - e-mails were flowing smoothly from my various e-mail accounts, browsing the Internet was actually fun and easy compared to the Blackberry and all was well. Until it wasn't. And now I'm left to sort everything out. Wish me luck (I sense I will need it). And, if any of you know how to appease the Gods of technology, do let me know.
Sincerely,
The Luxe Chronicles
